Lovely! A blank canvas, which, much like a blank page to a writer, represents an endless playground of creativity. And infinite possibilities, waiting to be discovered... 🏯😎🏯
That's great! That's exactly how it's done! It's definitely important to get the excess off. It can be so annoying to spot a drip after you've finished. Thanks for joining in... 🏯😎🏯
A lovely collection! The last one, in particular, perfectly captures the essence of what it means to be an artist, or writer. What makes work effective and truly connect on an emotional level, is getting to the point where the soul can be bared freely. And when that happens, it can be a very powerful thing... 🏯😎🏯
You're very welcome! Ahh, that is a beautiful image. The twilight sky, when the light is just right, and you get those bursts of perfectly contrasting colours, is absolutely magical... 🏯😎🏯
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Priming and sanding a surface ready for fresh paint, is a wonderful metaphor for shedding the past and moving forward revitalised and renewed... 🏯😎🏯
It's always very satisfying if you can do the work yourself, but sometimes, even jobs that look fairly doable end up being so big it's quicker to just let someone else deal with it all. And definitely a lot less strenuous! Haha... 🏯😎🏯
Hello! Welcome back! Yes, it's a wonderful thing when we can see the beauty inside, which is always far richer and deeper, than what is on the outside... 🏯😎🏯
Ah, yes! The temptation is strong with this one! Haha!
the empty canvas
calling to her creator
paint me perfection

Yes!!!

Hi, I'm not a writer, but I'll give this a try.
Dip brush in bucket
Wipe off the excess color
Spread the rest smoothly
That's great! That's exactly how it's done! It's definitely important to get the excess off. It can be so annoying to spot a drip after you've finished. Thanks for joining in... 🏯😎🏯
You're not a writer?
But you wrote a fine haiku!
Who says you can't write?
Well, I should say that writing’s not my forte. I’m more into visual arts. But thanks very much.
Fifteen layers of paint
Tightly sealed the window frame
None can ere open
That's so true! A fresh coat of paint can very easily glue a window shut. Especially if fifteen layers have built up over the years! Haha... 🏯😎🏯
I used to live in that house!
I think a lot of us did! 😂
Emerald leaves dance
Golden fields sway in the breeze
Nature's canvas flows
That's so true! Nature is an exceptional artist, and does paint the most beautiful views... 🏯😎🏯
Colour Keys of Haiku
Prompt by: Tales of the Zeitgeist:HOUSE OF HAIKU PROMPT: PAINT
1
He looked up and saw
Painted into a corner
His cat eyeing him
2
All gloss and no dross
Museum worthy they said
Long after his death
3
The scenery changed
Light faded romantically
His muse grew lovely
4
Paint strokes flowed with ease
Canvas dripping with insight
Painting from the soul
A lovely collection! The last one, in particular, perfectly captures the essence of what it means to be an artist, or writer. What makes work effective and truly connect on an emotional level, is getting to the point where the soul can be bared freely. And when that happens, it can be a very powerful thing... 🏯😎🏯
Love love love 💕
The twilight sky glows
Painting colors of purple
Pink,lavender and gold
Thank you , Chris !

Lovely!
Thank you , Kaci !
Thank you Gloria !
Good poem, Chris. Here's mine:
Scraping off the old
Takes forever but needed
Ready for the new

Our house (built in 1930) needed such tender attention. Hubby spent time over the past decade trying to do the job himself. Finally, we hired pros.

He was also hinting that I needed to help. A sure way to motivate me to look into those pros.
Haha! 🏯😎🏯
Paint drips in the dark—
color defies the gray law,
breath of the outlaw.
Very nice! I really like the idea of the colour dripping in, like a voice of reason, and bringing clarity to where there's uncertainty... 🏯😎🏯
Thanks, Chris. I love and admire your replies to every single person who responds to your prompts. Kudos, my dear man.
Thanks! That is much appreciated. I'm glad you've been enjoying these weekly Events... 🏯😎🏯
I once had a horse
I named the old mare Splatter
She was a Paint breed
Ahh, the Paint Horse! That's a fantastic interpretation. The patterns on their coats are often very beautiful... 🏯😎🏯
Hello, hello, Chris and the House of Haiku community! Here's my take on Paint:
Our eyes softly paint
The beautiful garden blooms
Within our humble soul
Hello! Welcome back! Yes, it's a wonderful thing when we can see the beauty inside, which is always far richer and deeper, than what is on the outside... 🏯😎🏯
Thank you so much! Inner beauty holds a depth and richness that outshines anything on the surface.
Brush strokes on canvas,
Colors dance in quiet streams,
Dreams bloom into hues.
That's an excellent definition of what Art is. It's a way to bring dreams and creative visions to life... 🏯😎🏯
White wash a long fence
Tom Sawyer said to his friends.
Returned exchanges made.
Haha! That's a great scene! And an excellent example of his mischievous streak, and ingenuity... 🏯😎🏯
Thank you for the shoutout.
You're very welcome! Have a great week... 🏯😎🏯
first class art degree
not just a pigment of your
imagination
Haha! That's a fun bit of wordplay... 🏯😎🏯
water pigments smeared
shapes blended, sharp edges, make
an image appear
A paintbrush, being put to work by a skilled hand, is always a magical thing to witness, for sure... 🏯😎🏯
Tom the cat made them laugh like hyenas
When he raced and slid all over the new kitchen floor
When he knocked over the paint, the laughing was heard no more
