Lovely! A blank canvas, which, much like a blank page to a writer, represents an endless playground of creativity. And infinite possibilities, waiting to be discovered... 🏯😎🏯

Hi, I'm not a writer, but I'll give this a try.

Dip brush in bucket

Wipe off the excess color

Spread the rest smoothly

That's great! That's exactly how it's done! It's definitely important to get the excess off. It can be so annoying to spot a drip after you've finished. Thanks for joining in... 🏯😎🏯

You're not a writer?

But you wrote a fine haiku!

Who says you can't write?

Well, I should say that writing’s not my forte. I’m more into visual arts. But thanks very much.

That's so true! A fresh coat of paint can very easily glue a window shut. Especially if fifteen layers have built up over the years! Haha... 🏯😎🏯

Colour Keys of Haiku

Prompt by: Tales of the Zeitgeist:HOUSE OF HAIKU PROMPT: PAINT

1

He looked up and saw

Painted into a corner

His cat eyeing him

2

All gloss and no dross

Museum worthy they said

Long after his death

3

The scenery changed

Light faded romantically

His muse grew lovely

4

Paint strokes flowed with ease

Canvas dripping with insight

Painting from the soul

A lovely collection! The last one, in particular, perfectly captures the essence of what it means to be an artist, or writer. What makes work effective and truly connect on an emotional level, is getting to the point where the soul can be bared freely. And when that happens, it can be a very powerful thing... 🏯😎🏯

Our house (built in 1930) needed such tender attention. Hubby spent time over the past decade trying to do the job himself. Finally, we hired pros.

It's always very satisfying if you can do the work yourself, but sometimes, even jobs that look fairly doable end up being so big it's quicker to just let someone else deal with it all. And definitely a lot less strenuous! Haha... 🏯😎🏯
