Bloomin fab as ever! First one reminded me of those urban legend stories we all heard and told as kids. Second one made me smile for vocational reasons and the others, as I said, just fab! Happy haunted Halloween to you Chrisπ
Thanks! That is much appreciated. It's been really fun to do a month of spooky stories. I'm hoping to do a month of Christmas stories, too. Haha! I'm glad you enjoyed them... π
I'm thinking of taking all my halloween ones for my "What if Cats" series and it'l be 'What if Cats Wrote Horror?" and pair it with all my art. Just gotta pla nwhat to draw for each page.
That sounds brilliant! I've noticed a lot of the Indie Authors having the most success on Amazon do tend to be writing Horror, Sci-Fi, or Fantasy, so that does seem like a great thing to focus on. And it's a unique and fun idea, too, which is sure to help it stand out. I definitely need to get a little collection of Horror stories released myself at some point, too... π
Oh really?! That's actually good to hear haha. Because those genres seem to get skipped over. I won't let that stop me though!! And you really should!! You got great stuff!
Absolutely! It's always an interesting challenge to keep things so succinct. And what it's also doing along the way, of course, is training you to be more direct in your longer work, which is incredibly helpful, and can greatly improve the reader experience... π
Thanks! That is much appreciated. It's really fun playing around with these little stories, and trying to make them a meaningful experience, even though they're so short. I'm glad you enjoyed them... π
Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next, too. I have one more fun, and spooky, story planned for Halloween. And then I need to get started on my Christmas content! Haha... π
So many holidays! I hope youβll have time to tune in for our next Detective chapter. Weβre up to Ch 12 from the J Kitten, Sleuth & Purveyor of Bright Shiny Objects Detective Agency. Itβs a Chapter title for Halloween: Ghost Writer.:)
I'll definitely have time to tune in, for sure! I'm luvluvluving Jasper Kitten's new adventures with his little pals. It's such a fun idea, and I think you've created something very special, that could grow into a whole series of books. The end. Haha... π
Thanks! That is much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I like 'The Wolf' a lot, too. It's always fun trying to put a fresh spin on something that's already familiar to people... π
Thanks, Gloria! That is much appreciated. It's always fun playing around with these, and trying to come up with something a little unexpected. I've been exploring Flash Fiction/Microfiction a lot more since I joined here, and it's very quickly become one of my favourite things to write. I'm glad you enjoyed them... π

Thanks! That is much appreciated. Iβm glad you enjoyed them, and that second one resonated with you. 'Happy Halloween' to you, as well! πππ

Hehe I'm glad you enjoy them! I see there's a bunch of prompts I missed during the week! Need to catch up haha. I got some ideas
Wow. All five stories have a kick that really delivers! Nicely done, Chris!
Thanks, Dustin! That is much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed them. It's always fun exploring what can be done in 100 words or less... π
I like the challenge that micro-fiction brings!

Yep! It definitely helps you become a better writer.
These are great, start to finish, Chris! Each one has a super fun twist and they keep me reading. Perfect timing.

Thank you, Chris! We are planning on a whole detective series. That is the word on the street for J Kitten!
The Body and The Wolf for me! Stellar work, Chris!

Chris, these are fantastic stories and they all have a twist at the end. I simply donβt know how you do it every single time. Bravo!
