Most intriguing. One would like to read more. A bit "Sunset Boulevard". Splendid film with Miss Gloria Swanson and Mr William Holden. But who is telling the tale here?
Funnily enough, that is partly what inspired it. I wanted to take the familiar concept of a former star looking back at their career and develop it into something more poignant - where the main character wasn't reliving their past glories in a boastful or self-aggrandising way, but was doing so because it was literally one of the last memories they have left. They're not trying to impress anyone, they're just trying to hold on to the one recollection that is making a difficult situation a little easier for them. But who is telling the tale? That's a great question. It's whoever you want to place there and however you imagine them to be. The main reason I kept things ambiguous and didn't identify them, is because I think it helps reinforce the idea that this can potentially happen to anyone. Thanks for reading... 😎

"I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. De Mill." I got the same feeling as Wendall F. Nicely done.
Haha! Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it... 😎
