On this day, in 1969, Apollo 11 took off from the Kennedy Space Centre, in Florida. It was carrying astronauts Michael Collins, Buzz Aldrin, and of course, Neil Armstrong, who just a few days later, would become the first man to set foot on the Moon. This historic event was beamed live to televisions around the world, and was watched by an estimated audience of around 650 million people.
And so, our Prompt for this week is: MOON
He howled, as it glowed,
But he wasn’t a werewolf,
He’d just stubbed a toe…
